How it works

Seven steps. Two days. One free demo.

From your enquiry to your child's first lesson — here's the full operating process. No marketing fluff. The actual cadence, every parent, every term.

Quick Answer

How does the Anand Tutorials 1:1 matching workflow actually run?

The workflow is deliberately short so families can start learning fast. Enquire by phone, WhatsApp or the free-demo form; a coordinator holds a 15-minute needs conversation covering class, board, subjects and schedule; we propose one or two tutor profiles matched on subject expertise plus city or timezone; you attend a free 1:1 demo; and only if the demo works do regular sessions begin. The entire pipeline is covered by a 7 to 14-day free replacement guarantee.

  • Step 1 — Enquire (phone · WhatsApp · form)
  • Step 2 — 15-minute needs conversation
  • Step 3 — Tutor profile match (subject + city / timezone)
  • Step 4 — Free 1:1 demo class
  • Step 5 — Regular sessions with monthly review
Step 01· Day 0 · 2 min

You enquire — under 2 minutes

Share your child's grade, board, subjects and locality (or 'online'). Tap the demo button, or call +91 79742 21232. Mention any preferences — female tutor, time window, specific city / locality.

  • No payment
  • No card
  • No commitment
Step 02· Day 0-2 · 24-48 hrs

We match — verified specialist within 24-48 hours

Our matching engine + a human reviewer shortlist 1-3 verified specialist tutors from the curated pool — every one already cleared the 4-step screen (academic credential, subject test, teaching demo, police background check).

  • Curated pool, never marketplace
  • ~80% applicant rejection
  • Locality-aware for J/B/N
Step 03· Day 1-3 · 60-90 min

Free 1:1 demo — see the tutor teach first

Your child attends a full 1:1 demo class with the matched tutor — at home (J/B/N) or 1:1 live online (everywhere else). The tutor diagnoses the chapter gap. You watch the chemistry. Approve afterwards.

  • Free 1:1 with the actual matched tutor
  • Diagnostic doubles as planning input
  • Approve before any payment
Step 04· Week 1

Personalised plan — chapter by chapter

Based on the diagnostic demo, the tutor builds a written chapter-by-chapter plan calibrated to your child's specific gaps, board, and target outcome. Reviewed weekly. Adaptive pacing.

  • Custom — not templated
  • Chapter-by-chapter weak-spot mocks
  • Adaptive pacing every session
Step 05· Ongoing · Same tutor

Weekly classes — same tutor entire term

60-90 minute 1:1 sessions at your home or 1:1 live online — same tutor each week. No rotation. Recordings shared for online classes. Homework allocated each class.

  • Same tutor — full academic year
  • Recordings included for online
  • Homework + revision included
Step 06· Every Sunday

Sunday WhatsApp parent report

Every Sunday, a written WhatsApp report from the tutor — topics covered, what was tested, gaps remaining, plan for next week. You always know where your child stands. No dashboard fishing.

  • Written report — not auto-email
  • Topics + tests + gaps + plan
  • Parent input feeds back into the plan
Step 07· Any time · No cost

Right-fit guarantee — replace if mismatch

If the matched tutor isn't a fit after 2-3 sessions — or after any week of the term — we replace at no cost. Per our published Parent Policy. You never lose enrolment, data or progress.

  • Free replacement
  • Published policy at /policies/parent
  • No silent dissatisfaction

These are structural — not aspirational. Built into the operating model, every single engagement, since 2013.

4-step tutor verification

Credentials + subject test + teaching demo + police background — every tutor, no exceptions.

Strict 1 tutor : 1 student

Never a batch. Never a 'small group of 4-5'. 60-90 minutes undivided 1:1 attention each session.

Same tutor entire term

The tutor at the demo is the tutor through the final exam. No rotation, no surprise replacements.

Weekly written parent report

Sunday WhatsApp report — topics, tests, gaps, plan for next week. Standard, never premium.

Free tutor replacement

If the fit isn't right, we replace at no cost. Per published Parent Policy.

No advance fee · No lock-in

Pay only after the free demo. Monthly billing. Cancel any month with notice. Published refund policy.

Deeper questions about the Anand Tutorials workflow

Natural-language answers for parents evaluating our onboarding process, matching accuracy, and mid-engagement flexibility.

How long does the first-tutor match take, from enquiry to demo?
For standard requests — CBSE / ICSE / State Board across Classes 1 to 12 — the first demo is typically scheduled within 3 to 5 days of enquiry. For niche requests such as a specific alumnus profile (AIIMS Nagpur, IIT Bombay), a rare subject combination (French + Maths), or a very restrictive timezone slot, matching can take 7 to 10 days. During board-exam season (December to March) demand rises, so booking a week earlier gives more flexibility.
What happens during the free demo class?
The tutor spends 25 to 40 minutes 1:1 with the student, usually starting with a light diagnostic — a chapter the child has recently studied, a past-paper question, or a topic the parent flagged. The goal is for the parent and student to feel the tutor's explanation clarity, patience, and pedagogical fit. It's a real teaching session, not a sales pitch. After the demo, both the parent and the tutor share honest feedback with the coordinator — mutual fit matters both ways.
How are progress and outcomes tracked once regular classes begin?
Every four weeks the assigned tutor submits a written progress note covering topics completed, weak areas addressed, upcoming syllabus and any concern flags. The coordinator shares this with the parent and holds a short review call if needed. Parent feedback is captured in the same cycle — this rolls up into the tutor's institute-side rating and directly affects future assignments. If any concern appears, we course-correct immediately.
Can I change the schedule, subjects or intensity mid-way?
Yes, month-to-month. The most common changes are adding a subject before board exams (for example, adding Chemistry in October for a Class 12 student), reducing intensity after boards end, or swapping tutors when a subject transitions from foundation to advanced level. All of these are handled via a quick message to the coordinator — no long forms, no cancellation fees.
What if the tutor and student don't connect after a few weeks?
We replace the tutor at no cost within the 7 to 14-day guarantee window, and often even after it — quality matters more to us than the strict clock. Because tutors are engaged with the institute rather than directly with the family, switching is administrative rather than emotional; the outgoing tutor moves to a different assignment and the new tutor picks up with a fresh diagnostic. Most families never switch, but the guarantee removes the risk of trying.
Do parents get to talk to the tutor directly?
Yes — the tutor's contact is shared once the engagement begins, so parents can coordinate scheduling and short syllabus questions directly. Anything commercial (fees, timings, hours) still flows through the institute so there's no ambiguity. This split — pedagogical questions with the tutor, commercial questions with the institute — keeps the relationship clean and protects both sides.
