Why doesn't Anand Tutorials publish a fixed price list?

Because 1:1 tuition is genuinely different for each family. A Class 4 CBSE English + Maths engagement in Bhopal, twice a week, is not comparable to a Class 12 IB Chemistry HL engagement in London, four times a week with SAT prep tacked on. Publishing a single fixed rate would either overcharge simple engagements or undersell demanding ones. The transparent-quote model has been fair to both parents and tutors for over 12 years — it lets us match the price precisely to the effort involved.

Do NRI or international students pay a different rate than Indian students?

Rates are quoted per engagement and factor in the tutor profile assigned. For international students, most of the rate difference comes from the level of curriculum (IB DP HL, A-Level, AP tend to require senior specialist tutors) rather than a location premium. Payment can be made in most major currencies via credit card, debit card or bank transfer, and the invoice is issued transparently in the currency you pay in.

Is there a joining fee, registration fee or long-term contract?

No joining fee, no registration fee, no annual contract. Billing is monthly and tied to hours delivered — you can stop, pause or increase intensity month-to-month with no cancellation penalty. Are fees paid to the tutor or to Anand Tutorials?

Always to Anand Tutorials directly — never to the tutor at the door. This is a hard institute-side rule documented in the Fee & Payment Policy. It protects parents from over-billing or side-deals, and it protects tutors from disputes and non-payment. It's also one of the biggest structural differences between us and a tutor-marketplace app.

What happens if a session is missed or cancelled?

Sessions missed for genuine reasons (illness, exam clash, urgent travel) are usually rescheduled within the same billing cycle at no extra cost. If a tutor cancels their side, that hour is credited back or made up within the week. The full pause / resumption process is documented at /policies/gap-and-compensation. Emergency situations are handled case-by-case by the coordinator.
