At Anand Tutorials, 'qualified' means a tutor who has independently passed 4 verification steps — academic credential check, subject competency test, teaching demo, and police background check. We do not accept self-declared qualifications.
What qualifications do your tutors have?+
Our tutors hold relevant degrees: B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Tech / M.Tech for STEM subjects; B.A. / M.A. for languages and humanities; B.Ed / M.Ed for pedagogy; Ph.D for senior-grade and competitive exam mentoring. NEET / JEE mentors are AIIMS / IIT / NIT alumni.
Are tutor degrees independently verified?+
Yes — we verify degrees directly with the issuing institution where possible, and via authenticated transcripts where direct verification isn't feasible. Resume claims alone are never accepted.
How is subject competency tested?+
Every tutor sits a written / oral subject test in the specific subject they will teach. The test is set and graded by our senior education panel — university-level questions for STEM, pedagogy questions for languages and primary.
What if I want to see the tutor's qualifications?+
On request, we share the tutor's anonymised qualification profile before the demo (institution, degree, years of experience, board specialism). Full credentials can be shown at the demo itself.
Are coaching-class teachers usually qualified?+

Can I see how a qualified tutor teaches before I commit?+
Yes — the free 1:1 demo with the matched tutor is the standard step before any payment. You see the tutor teach your child, then decide.
Are international curriculum (IB / IGCSE / A-Level) tutors qualified differently?+
Yes — IB / IGCSE / A-Level tutors must additionally have certified experience with the international curriculum (Extended Essay, Internal Assessment, ToK, etc.). Specialism is mandatory, not optional.
What if the tutor's qualifications don't match the claim?+
