What is the Australian Curriculum and how is it different from state syllabuses?+
The Australian Curriculum is a national framework authored by ACARA (Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority). It defines what students should learn F-10. Each state and territory then adapts it into a classroom syllabus — NESA in NSW, VCAA in Victoria, QCAA in Queensland, SCSA in WA, SACE Board in SA, TASC in Tasmania, BSSS in ACT, NTBOS in NT. Our mentors work off the ACARA framework AND your state's specific syllabus document simultaneously.
Are you using ACARA Version 8.4 or the new Version 9.0?+
Version 9.0. V9 has been rolling out since 2023 (staggered adoption per state). Content descriptions, achievement standards and cross-curriculum priorities all reference V9. If your school is still on V8.4 (some jurisdictions transition by end of 2027), we adjust — but our default is V9.
When is NAPLAN and what score should we target?+
NAPLAN runs in March each year (Yr 3, 5, 7, 9) and is now online-adaptive (except Yr 3 Writing, still paper). Reporting bands: Exceeding, Strong, Developing, Needs Additional Support. Our target is at minimum 'Strong' — 'Exceeding' where the child's current mocks support it. Diagnostic mock in the free demo gives you an honest baseline.
Can you prepare my child for NSW Selective High School Placement Test?+
Yes — dedicated Yr 7 entry prep: Reading (30 min, 30 questions), Mathematical Reasoning (40 min, 35 questions), Thinking Skills (40 min, 40 questions), Writing (30 min, 1 task). Past-paper drills across the last 8 years, timing strategy, writing-rubric alignment, top-selective admission-mark tracking (James Ruse ~250+, North Sydney Boys/Girls ~240+).
What about Opportunity Class (OC) for Year 5 entry?+
Yes — Yr 4 entry to Yr 5 gifted classes. Reading (25 questions), Mathematical Reasoning (35 questions), Thinking Skills (30 questions). We drill exact OC pattern with past papers and timing.
Do you cover Victoria's Select Entry High Schools test?+
Yes — Victorian Select Entry High Schools test for Melbourne High School (boys), Mac.Robertson Girls', Nossal High, Suzanne Cory High. Yr 9 entry via a Yr 8 test. Reading, Maths, Thinking Skills, Writing — similar structure to NSW but Victoria-specific past papers used.
Are tutors available in AEST / AEDT slots for Sydney and Melbourne after-school?+
Yes — this is one of the friendliest zones globally for Indian mentors. AEST 3-8 PM (after school) maps to IST 10:30 AM - 3:30 PM — mid-day tutor slots with zero zone strain. AEDT (daylight saving) shifts by one hour.
Can I pay in AUD?+
